Betancourt plans play on ordeal.

She expounded she had been given a clean health check after having health tests after her release from the Colombian jungle. The 46-year-old is in Paris, where she flew after her release on Wed.. She spent 6 years in prison after being seized by Marxist Farc rebels during an election campaign. In an interview, French paper Le book du Dimanche asked her if she would write a book about her experience, to which she answered : "I'll write a play." "When I was in prison, I claimed to myself : 'People have to understand this, but I won't just scribble it down the way it occurred. That way I could show folks what they have to feel '. "It will need directing so that folks understand these things that apply to the human state, to what we are inside ourselves. We will be angels, but we will be able to also be devils for one another. People who will see what I experienced will understand that we must be cautious never to fall in this abyss." Taste of liberty she claimed she planned to revisit Colombia in some days. On Sun., she sent a radio message to all hostages still held by the Farc, her sister Astrid Betancourt said to the AFP reports agency. Ingrid Betancourt spoke on the night radio slot where her very own mummy had sent her daily support messages, and declared French President Nicolas Sarkozy had "pledged to resume working for [the hostages'] release". The previous Colombian presidential applicant, who has twin French-Colombian nationality, was liberated with fourteen other hostages after their kidnappers were reputedly duped into giving them to military staff camouflaged as independent agency staff. On Fri. Ms Betancourt - who grew up, studied and raised her folks in France - was flown from Colombia to Paris on a French presidential plane. |
