Seventeen, 2008 Kids's writer Eoin Colfer is to pen a 6th novel in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe series, 7 years after the demise of its creator Douglas Adams, Penguin asserted Wed. . The Irish writer, well known for his Artemis Fowl fairy stories, has the blessing of Adams' widow, Jane Belson, to resume the top selling science fiction fable. Called And Another Thing, the new novel will be broadcast in October 2009. Colfer expounded he used to be an enormous fan of the first books, which started as a BBC radio serial. The humorous books tell the story about a hapless Englishman called Arthur Dent who travels the universe after the Earth is demolished to make room for a hyperspace bypass. The story centers on the search for the solution to life, the universe and everything, which after a long wait turns out to be 42. Adams died from a coronary in California in 2001 at the age of 49. He had was hoping to complete the series with a 6th novel. 5 looks to be an incorrect sort of number ; 6 is a better sort of number, he once expounded.
