Members of The Novel Tree web site work together on building the novel, each presenting their own pieces of the tale. When the tale is ended, masses of writers will have cooperated on one complete novel. Dave Tiesma, creator of The Novel Tree, had the concept "What if I started a book and let others add on to it? What if tons of folks wrote one single book?" And with that and months of planning and building, this engaging new concept for a site was born. Any one can join and take part in The Novel Tree at no cost. Members read the novel as it is so far and then submit what they write for the subsequent piece in the storyline. All the submissions for the following section of the tale are read and one is selected as the subsequent part of the book. "An critical part of The Novel Tree is the community itself" announces Tiesma. "Members can communicate with one another in a group and talk about the way the personalities should develop and what direction the tale should go in." One novel is now being written, but more are being intended to permit members to scribble stories in different genres. The goal is to make public the books when they are complete. The Novel Tree wants to have thousands of members participating and a novel on its way to completion by the end of this year. |
